About the Author:

I love reading and writing hot romance novels. I enjoy reading Sandra Brown and Linda Howard. I recently moved from Florida to Georgia with my husband and two cats. It was an intresting trip to say the least. This is my first novel and it has been a learning experience. I'm still learning as I go. I was told I couldn't write this book by someone negative. But with the support of my husband and daughter I did it. At first I was writing to prove that person wrong, but then I wanted to prove to myself that I could do it. I'm proud of what I have done and I'm looking forward to doing more. If I never sell a million books, my big wish is for someone to reconise me and ask me to sign one of my books for them. I hope my hubby is near by with the camera!

I let someone almost stop me from doing something I love, writing this book. Never let anyone tell you that you can't do something you love doing. If you believe in yourself, you can do anything.

1. When did you decide to start writing?

I startes writing Roommates about ten or twelve years ago. I put the book down because there was someone very negative in my life.(my ex-husband)

He didnot support my dream of writing. But after remarrying and having to take some time off for some surgery, I picked it up again. I was home for six weeks and decided to get it out and finish the book. With the support of my new husband and the support of my teenage daughter I did it.

2. Why romance?

I love a good romance story, I can get lost in a love story for a little while. Im a die hard romantic at heart.

3. Were you worried about the word count of your work?

Yes, I was a little concerned about the word count. I checked around and found that most publishers required at least forty thousand words. I didn't have that many, but I was able to fluff up my story. I ended up with fortysix thousand five hundred sixtynine words when I finished.

4. Do you have any writing quirks and what are they?

Im not sure if it is a "quirk" but sometimes I go for a few days and can't write. But then, I wake up in the middle of the night and have to run put an idea down on paper. Sometimes I'll be out shopping or just runing errands and see something that gives me an idea.

5. If you can describe your novel in one word, what would it be and why?

One word to describe Roommates......Thrill.

6. How did you decide on the title Roommates?

I called my book "Savannah" while I was writing it. But after it was almost compleat changed it to "Roommates". It seemed fitting consedering the whole plot of the story.

7. What do you hope your readers will get out of reading your novel?

I want my readers to live vicariously through my book while their reading it. I want them to be able to excape their life and whats going on around them for a little while.

8. Tell us a little about your road to publication.

Publication. That was an unsure road. Their are so many people and places to check out. I did as much home work on as many publishers as I could before I setteled on Lulu. I had to consider a lot of things. I think they were the best fit for me.

9. What advice can you give other aspiring authors out there?

My advice to other aspiring authors is never give up if it is your dream to write. Never let anyone tell you that you can't do it. Take constructive criticism and try to learn from it, And always believe in yourself.
