  1. Actually here in Uruguay we don't have a big Hallowen celebration but I do remember one time when I was a kid that I went out with my friends to ask candies to our neighbors :)
We were like 10 kids all dress-up like ghosts or witches :)

  5. WHAT FABULOUS PRIZES! Thank you so much! I've been wanting to read Taste for a while now! So yeeeeeey.

Um, my favorite Halloween memory? That's hard since I hate celebrating Halloween but it would probably the day my cousins came over and we played hide and sick and tag in a room with the lights turned off. It was fun! But I had to be careful not to trample on my young cousins XD

  6. Yay!! Awesome giveaway, Kate!

Favorite Halloween memory? Forgive me but I don't have one. :( Halloween is...a little dull for me except for the horror shows marathon. ;) Hmm...so out of all my memories, my fave is probably...the Halloween when an actual 'haunting' took place in our old house.

  9. When I was in grade school, I dressed up as a witch for Halloween. My mom did my make-up so scary that the other kids were afraid to trick or treat with me!

  10. In high-school, I had a chinese foreign exchange student living with me so me, my friends, and my chinese decided to all dress up in traditional Chinese stuff. Then instead of saying trick or treat we sang Happy Birthday in Mandarin when people opened their doors.

  12. Going trick or treating as a kid and being frightened by a neighbor. He jumped out from the bushes and scared us kids half to death. He was dressed up as this scary jungle person. Now that I think about I laugh, but it wasn't funny then. :)

  13. Awesome giveaway. I love the trailer. Very cute. My favorite Halloween memory is of my son. When he was a toddler he was deathly afraid of animatronics. We were trick or treating, and he walked past an animatronic spider that was activated by his movement. He screamed and ran. So cute.

  14. My favorite Halloween memory was my senior year of HS when I dressed up as a Zombie and went door to door. I put on a good show for every treat I got. People loved my shuffling walk and then stumble. It was awesome and fun.

  16. Unfortunately we don't get to celebrate Halloween here in Greece, so I have no memory connected to this specific holiday. Though it sure seems like a really fun holiday :)

  17. Although I always liked trick or treating, dressing up and getting candy, my favorite Halloween memory is of a Halloween when it wouldn't stop raining. My family, friends and I stayed home and had a horror movie marathon and toasted pumpkins seeds after craving a pumpkin. Guess it's who you're with that matters most. Thanks for the great giveaway and I look forward to checking out your books :)

  18. I didn't get to really do a lot of Halloween as a kid, so not that I am a parent it really is the best memories watching my children's faces light up at the excitement of it all. My middle son was so excited to get to go trick or treating for the first time. I remember at every house we went to he would say "thank you very much" before he even got his candy and would turn around to leave before he even got his treat. It was so precious to see his happiness.
Annnd it is pretty fun to hide in the dark and scare the creepy crawlies out of them around this time. You never forget the funny look on your kids' face at a scary mask. lol priceless

  21. Australia isn't big on Halloween , but we did start the Trick or Treating in our area about 10 yrs ago. Fun seeing all the kids dressed up knocking on doors. Most of the residence are prepared now and have the bowls ready to hand out goodies. My hubby gets quite into it. I always do the front door up . Our house is known for having the 'good stuff' when the kids come knocking. My daughter will go out with her brothers as body guards and do some trick or treating. We only had one resident who was a rather cranky pants and when the kids were knocking , he was shouting on the other side of the door ( as he was a known cranky pants) . When he opened the door and saw all us mums staring at him and all these kid at his door, he looked suitably ashamed and said Trick!! Even though it wasn't . So no treats , but at least the kids thought he was tricking:D

  25. Well, isn't it aweful that I can't remember any good memories of halloween?!? LOL. Just out as a kid going door to door but no fond memories or anything that sticks out. :(

  29. When I was kid I was not allowed to celebrate Halloween (I live in Australia) but I loved all of the Halloween specials on TV - though they never actually aired for Halloween haha!! We let our kids dress up and trick or treat, so my best memory would be of their - and my - first Halloween about 4 years ago - so much fun :)

  30. The year I dressed up as a hobo!
    I had so much fun!
Instead of saying "Trick or treat" I said "Spare change?" and some people actually gave me money! (they did know that I was dressed up by the way)
But that was an interesting year XD

    P.S. THANKS FOR THE GIVEAWAY!
